Our Mission Statement
Once Upon a Coaster is a podcast team dedicated to educating and informing roller coaster fans about classic and defunct roller coaster rides through our written, audio, and multimedia platforms. We strive to provide accurate and accessible information that will lend historical understanding to a listener’s knowledge of a particular ride.
How It Started
The OUAC podcast was born out of Covid-19 and a desire to ride roller coasters again when all of the parks were shut down. It was a sad time that led us to wonder if we'd ever get rides on some of our favorite old coasters before time took them away from us. We wanted to talk a bit about how much old coasters mean to us, and thus a podcast was born.
We record using a Yeti Blue microphone and edit using Audacity. All work is done in-house by our incredible team unless otherwise noted.

Meet Our Team

Lizzie - Host
Lizzie is the main voice you hear when you tune into Once Upon a Coaster. She has been riding roller coasters since she was five years old. Some of her favorite roller coaster memories include riding Leap-the-Dips in Altoona, PA and getting emergency evacuated off of Mean Streak at Cedar Point. When she's not exploring amusement parks, you can find her chowing down on Thai food or gardening.
